Why do we put so much emphasis on our independence?
When we formed tyrZ back in 2004 we were, a ‘one man band’, a term that we have never liked!
But we were, one man, in a van.
Independence then was a lonely place but, over the years, we grew, we learnt, and we gained our identity.
We embraced our independence.
We could adapt and change as we saw fit.
But mostly we can set our own standards!
We can sell whatever brand of tyre is available as we are not owned by any tyre manufacturer.
We do have our preferences, not because we are incentivised or have pressure put on us to hit any target or quota.
But because we see value for our customers in the products we sell. They perform well so we can have faith that our customers will be happy and, thusly, they will return.
We also believe strongly in honesty. If the customer, in our opinion, doesn’t require replacement tyres then, we won’t try and sell them a tyre.
It’s all quite straight forward and we do, in our independent minds, wonder why the ‘bigger’ companies make it so complicated and incentivise their staff into ‘over selling’!?
We feel the strategy of some of our counterparts leads to mistrust and the tyre industry has a bad enough reputation as it is!
tyrZ has thrived on repeat custom. We have played ‘the long game’ which has lead to a great reputation of which we are fiercely proud!
That is some of the reason we sometimes shout about our independence.
We set our standards.
We sell the brands we believe in and, we only sell when we deem necessary!
We have set our stall out (once we finally arranged our stall) and we will stick by our principles of friendly, honest service.
The size and type of tyres we sell may change but, how we sell them, wont!
