Our Congleton depot was recently selected as Silk FM’s Workplace of the Week by afternoon drivetime DJ Darren Antrobus. Darren visited the garage for a tour of the facilities in the build-up to our family fun day and official opening this Saturday, 10th November. He spoke to Judith Ritchie and Alex Williams about the day-to-day operations and the history of tyrZ, and also chatted to a representative from Landsail tyres.
Darren was particularly impressed by the Hunter Hawkeye wheel alignment system, which he described as ‘something from Star Trek- it’s big and it is amazing’.
During the interview, Judith explained to Darren what we are all about here at tyrZ: “We pride ourselves on honesty. We have built our business on being honest with people, not giving them things they don’t need. We get an awful lot of loyal, repeat customers because of that.”
Darren will be DJ’ing at the family fun day this Saturday, 10th November, between 10-2. He will be joined by Congleton Mayor Suzie Akers Smith, as well as a balloon modeller, a penalty shoot-out for the children and a racing mini. The event will mark the official opening of our second depot based on Antrobus Street, Congleton.
The Silk FM workplace of the week is selected from various workplaces, shops and factories that ‘help keep Cheshire going’. Listen to the full podcast here.
